Instituto TJR Torneio Juvenil de Robótica

For Anyone, Wherever They are

The main purpose of the TJR Torneio Juvenil de Robotica is to be a vector of social inclusion for education. Therefore, at the top of its actions is, first of all, its role as a school __ TJR Public Robotics School __ both with the online platform (OCANET) open to teachers and students, where courses in the most diverse areas of the school are offered. knowledge, as well as in-person training workshops.

Having opened as a Robotics event in the classrooms and corridors of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo in 2009, it was the starting point for a long journey, in which several squares, gyms and auditoriums served as a space for the dissemination of science for children, youth, adults and the elderly in Brazil and abroad, always openly and free of charge: Since then, many events and symposia have been held and, currently, more than 75% of its participants come from public education. Experiencing this experience, on the part of the participants, is as joyful and thought-provoking as, for the organizers, complying with the slogan: Diffuse Challenges Always!

CHALLENGES TO STIMULATE CHILDREN

The study of Robotics and Computing at school should never lend itself to shortening childhood. They need to nourish themselves with their creative vigor and liberating playfulness.

The Institute has competitions and specific challenges for children, offering books, support notebooks, educational material for teachers and parents.

 CHALLANGES WITH ART AND TECHNOLOGY

The choreographies for humans and robots are, for the participants, during their development, in unparalleled opportunities for the establishment of the aesthetic sense, within the technical scientific environment. Similarly, the audiovisual record of the productive activity is an important tool for the development of authorial texts.

CHALLENGES FOR OVERCOMING DISTANCES

Being together and sharing are terms that are not restricted to those who are close together. Being in Codó, Buenos Aires, Macapá, Mora or any other city is also being together and sharing educational experiences at any time of the day through the @ online challenges proposed for RoboLeague: The interaction is online, but the robots and the scenarios in which act are real.
